January - Nick goes to school in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO to change his MOS. He is now in the chemical corps!
March - Nick is done with school and we tie up loose ends and get ready to head to our new duty station, Ft. Stewart, GA. Evelynn Grace turned 2 on the 23rd.
May - pack everyone up and head out on our round about road trip from TX to GA.
We saw Nick's family in MO, went to Shriners hospital to confirm juvenile scoliosis diagnosis for Hannah. We got to see some great friends in St. Louis while there. Then on to TN where we went to the Nashville Zoo, and then spent 2 days having fun in Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. On to Ashville, NC, Columbia, SC, drove through Aiken, SC and then to Augusta, GA to visit more friends. Finally arrive at Ft. Stewart the last day of May.
June - Meet great realtor and make the decision (with lots of input from important people in our lives) to buy our first home. Find the perfect house, go through the steps, and wait for closing!
July - close on our first home and move in! Hannah turned 10 on July 29.
August - start our homeschool year with a great new curriculum that has us "traveling" around the world exploring other countries and cultures. The girls are doing great with this curriculum and learning a ton!
September - Nick spends 3 weeks at Ft. Leonard Wood going through another chemical training course.
October - Juliette turns 6 on the first. Nick leaves again, this time for some awesome training with the Marine Corps in Indian Head, MD.
November - We spent a nice Thanksgiving in our new home
December - Sophia will turn 8 on the 21st. Nick went another quick training mission and is back again and now we get to spend our first Christmas in our new home! We had so much fun decorating the Christmas tree and hanging up lights outside on OUR home!!
We are wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas, and may the New Year bring you lots of peace, joy and love!!
Don't forget to check back throughout the year for new updates and pictures!!
